Experts tell us we will outlive our ability to drive safely by more than a few years. On the bright side, when we
have to stop driving — or want to drive less — our options keep improving. Here are some good examples.

TAKE THE LOCAL
The City operates a free on-demand, shared-ride transit service called Laguna Beach Local. It runs between the Top of the World, Bluebird Canyon, Arch Beach Heights, and North Laguna neighborhoods to many downtown destinations.
AGE WELL SENIOR SERVICES
Age Well provides free, non-emergency medical transportation to Providence Mission Hospital in Laguna Beach and Mission Viejo. It also provides non-emergency medical transportation to locations in Irvine, Newport Beach, and San Clemente up to 15 miles from your home. Minimum age: 60.
SIGN UP FOR OCTA ACCESS
If you have a disability that makes it hard to get to or from a bus stop, or on and off a bus, you may be are eligible for OCTA ACCESS. There is a formal certification process that follows ADA guidelines.
SALLY'S FUND
Non-profit Sally’s Fund provides free transportation to and from the Susi Q and medical appointments. Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Minimum age: 60. Transportation should be scheduled in advance and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Donations are welcome.
Age Well provides non-emergency transportation to medical facilities within 15 miles of your home.You must be 60+, enroll in the program, and reserve rides at least 5 days in advance. The cost is $2 per trip for up to 16 one-way rides per month. Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 6:00 pm (excluding holidays).
RIDE OCTA FOR LESS
Seniors get a fare discount on the fixed-route bus routes operated by the Orange Country Transportation Authority.
