Nadia Babayi
Executive Director

As the Executive Director of Laguna Beach Seniors, Nadia brings impressive credentials to the post with over 40 years of experience spanning corporate, non-profit and government jobs. Prior to joining Laguna Beach Seniors, she managed the U.S. Commerce Department’s Census for 12 cities in South Orange County and served as development director for STOP-GAP, an educational nonprofit theatre group. Nadia’s corporate experience includes working as a structural engineer for 23 years designing commercial buildings in Orange County. Her passion for community work manifested in awards as Irvine’s citizen of the year in 2005 and recognition from the state Legislature.
Robert Harryman

A resident of Laguna since 2007, Rob joins Laguna Beach Seniors with over 3 decades of Corporate Finance experience after starting his career in public accounting at Deloitte & Touche and going on to work with New Regency Productions, GE Healthcare, Clarient Diagnostics, and NeoGenomics Laboratories. In addition to corporate life, Rob has been active with many local and nearby nonprofit boards including Laguna Beach Community Foundation, Pacific Chorale, No Square Theatre (where he also serves as Managing Director), LBAA, LagunaTunes, and the Laguna Beach Chamber Singers. He is an inactive CPA and very happy to join the team at The Susi Q to help enrich lives of seniors and the community.
Christine Brewer

Through a close bond with her grandparents and strong desire to help seniors, Christine Brewer joined Laguna Beach Seniors in 2009 as a part-time Program and Volunteer Coordinator. Over the years, and with the expansion of programs at the Susi Q, she took on more responsibility and assumed the role of Programs/Volunteers/Event Manager. Christine prides herself on delivering effective results in all aspects of management. She enjoys working with the staff and a great team of volunteers and the members of the community.
Prior to joining Laguna Beach Seniors, Christine worked in the corporate world as an Executive Assistant for over 15 years. She loves being part of the Susi Q family!
Rickie Redman
Director of Aging in Place Services

Rickie Redman is passionate about helping older adults age with purpose, connection, and dignity. With more than 10 years of experience serving seniors and their families, she has dedicated her career to supporting people as they navigate life’s transitions with intention and confidence. Her background includes managing Alzheimer’s Orange County’s Memories in the Making art program and serving as a Volunteer Engagement Specialist with SCAN Health Plan.
Rickie holds a Bachelor of Arts from San Francisco State University, is a certified End-of-Life Practitioner through The HeartWay, and is a certified instructor through the Birren Center for Autobiographical Studies.
Melissa Darvin
Melissa is a seasoned graphic and UX designer with a strong marketing foundation and extensive experience in real estate development, manufacturing, and healthcare. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science in Graphic Design from San Diego State University and a Google UX Design Certificate. Melissa blends strategic marketing insight with creative design to deliver cohesive brand experiences that enhance engagement, consistency, and impact across both digital and print platforms.
Lily Madani
Lily is an experienced counselor and community outreach professional. As a Case Manager-Community Educator with the Council on Aging, she was responsible for educating Medicare beneficiaries, caregivers and community about their rights and how best to access their benefits. Lily is passionate about helping older adults, individuals with disabilities, and those who experience homelessness to access the resources they need to stay healthy. She loves nature, arts and being part of the Susi Q family.
Carly Seelig, MSW
Helping older adults stay connected, supported, and thriving is at the heart of Carly Seelig’s work as Program Coordinator for Lifelong Laguna.
A social worker by training, Carly has dedicated her career to supporting people through life’s challenges. Before joining The Susi Q, she spent seven years at Friendship Shelter, where she managed programs serving individuals experiencing housing instability. Witnessing the growing number of older adults facing homelessness strengthened her commitment to prevention, community support, and aging in place.
Carly earned her Master of Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley and completed a post-master’s fellowship with Kaiser Permanente’s Department of Psychiatry. She is inspired every day by the volunteers, members, and community partners who make Laguna Beach such a special place to grow older.
Outside of work, Carly enjoys Laguna’s beautiful coastline, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and her fluffy dog, Lucy.
